Urban Forestry and Eco-Forestry
Our personnel have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the management of tree populations in an urban setting. We seek to improve the surrounding environment. By planning and maintaining trees as well as forest preservation and research, our urban foresters can preserve the life of many tree populations within the urban environment.
Eco-Forestry
Ethic Tree Creations employs an Eco-Forestry approach that promotes holistic and natural methods with the goal to protect and maintain ecosystems. By helping an area of forest grow independently over many years, practitioners of eco-forestry create a harmonious environment for all natural habitats to flourish.
We are a certified Managed Forest Planner and approver. We are independent resource management consultants, certified by, but not employed by, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. If you have 10 acres of forested land, we can reduce your property taxes up to 75%.
Here’s what you need to be eligible:
- own 4 hectares (9.88 acres) or more of forested land on a single property in Ontario on one municipal roll number
- be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- be a Canadian corporation, partnership
- be a trust or conservation authority
- have a minimum number of trees on each hectare (acre) of forest you own
Residences, landscaped areas and land used for residential or other purposes are not eligible under the program.
Ethic Tree Creations expertise can be employed to evaluate a piece of land or property for health, wildlife and good stewardship practices. Some of the potential issues and concerns that are considered include but are not limited to insect and disease issues, tree species, birds, nesting grounds, habitat management.

Consulting is a very important part of our business. It allows us to work with our clients on a daily basis to make educated and informed decisions about the maintenance, health and individual species of trees on their properties. We bring our real world experience, science based research and the latest techniques to consult on your property and treat each client individually to create a plan specifically designed for you and your trees.

Ethic Tree Creations practice Ontario Woodlot Association methodology:
Tree Marking – involves the careful selection of trees for harvest (under a partial cutting system), based on a forest management prescription. Specific trees are selected to be cut or left, based on their growth potential, ability to provide seed or wildlife benefits in the forest. This selection process takes into consideration numerous individual tree characteristics, not just tree size. Each tree to be cut is marked with paint to ensure that the prescription is followed.
We pride ourselves on educating the public on how to give back to the environment. From school groups to board members, Ethic Tree Creations will help plant trees or give an educational talk on an issue you are concerned about. Let us help you reduce your carbon footprint!

Firewood sales and service- we offer a variety of firewood for sale. Hardwood and softwood or a mixture of both. It is seasoned and dry and ready to burn! Upon request it can be cut into various lengths for either your outdoor fire-pit, stove or inside your home. Contact us for more details.
